Who we are

Surrey Groundworks was set up by Tim Scott and Mike Baker to deliver high quality construction, groundworks and landscaping on challenging projects. It runs alongside Spa-Construct, their dedicated swimming pool and spa groundworks brand.

Tim is a Senior Construction Project Manager with over 30 years’ of hands-on building experience and numerous construction qualifications; he has a ‘trades’ background and oversees the day-to-day management of the projects.

Mike is a Chartered Engineer, MBA and business operations specialist with a successful record of property purchases and development; he oversees the operations function of the business.

Surrey Groundworks provide best in class groundworks and landscaping services for Surrey and the surrounding areas. We operate in an open, ethical way and go over and above the norm to ensure our customers would strongly recommend us to family and friends.

Project Management

At Surrey Groundworks we are experts in project management so you can be confident your work will be completed on-time, to a high standard and within budget.

Planning - planning is critical. When planning a construction project, it is important to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly considered in advance so as to avoid any surprises during the delivery phase.
Communication - we work with you on a one-to-one basis before and during the project, to make sure we deliver exactly what you are expecting.
Scheduling - we will discuss the project duration with you during the planning phase and schedule the work for a time that is most convenient to you.
Scope - we will not change the scope of the project without ensuring you understand the impact (in terms of time and cost) of us doing so.
Disruption - any construction work is likely to create a bit of dirt and noise. At Surrey Groundworks we take extra care to limit the disruption caused and make the project as pain free as possible for you.

What we offer

We offer a complete turn key service, for all construction, groundworks and landscaping projects from site clearance and building foundations to installing ring beams and drainage. We also provide a full outdoor construction service for new buildings, converting existing buildings, creating designer urban gardens, home offices, sundecks, outdoor kitchens, bar areas and more.

Health & Safety

We take Health & Safety seriously and work to current standards and best practice. Our team will ensure all aspects of H&S are fully considered during the project from risk assessments to daily tool box talks and safety reviews.

Contract

We will draw up a contract in advance of the project laying out what you can expect in terms of both deliverables and cost.

Insurance

We have full public liability insurance to give you peace of mind in the unlikely event that things don’t go as planned.
